AB741, s. 67 Section 67. 459.06 (1) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB741,22,16 459.06 (1) Applicants may obtain a license by successfully passing a qualifying examination, provided the applicant is 18 years of age or older, does not have an arrest or conviction record, subject to ss. 111.321, 111.322 and 111.335, and has an education equivalent to a 4-year course in an accredited high school.

AB741, s. 81 Section 81. 569.04 (2) of the statutes is amended to read:

AB741,25,4 569.04 (2) The commission shall require the persons who are subject to the background investigations under sub. (1) to be photographed and fingerprinted on 2 fingerprint cards, each bearing a complete set of the person's fingerprints. Notwithstanding ss. 111.321, 111.322 and 111.335, the The department of justice may submit the fingerprint cards to the federal bureau of investigation for the purpose of verifying the identity of the persons fingerprinted and obtaining records of their criminal arrests and convictions.

AB741, s. 82 Section 82. Effective dates. This act takes effect on the day after publication, except as follows:

AB741,25,8 (1)  The repeal and recreation of section 146.50 (6) (a) 1. of the statutes takes effect on January 1, 1996.
